Wisconsin Lutheran High School (WLHS) in Milwaukee continues to grow—expanding both its campus and its capacity to serve students with excellence and care. Serving more than 900 students from across Southeastern Wisconsin and beyond, the school remains deeply committed to preparing young people for productive, Christ-centered lives in a diverse world.

Siebert Lutheran Foundation has supported this work through strategic investments in student support and access. In 2023, funding for a new Director of Student Services strengthened academic advising, mental health care, and college and career counseling—building on earlier support for the school’s Student Services Center and helping create a more comprehensive network of care.

That commitment continues through WLHS' Growing Opportunities capital campaign, which includes plans to expand campus space, enhance safety, and create new environments for learning and student life. Alongside these efforts, Siebert’s annual Lutheran High School Gap Support provides flexible funding that helps bridge tuition gaps, making a Christ-centered education accessible to students from a wide range of backgrounds.

The impact of this work is seen most clearly in the lives of students. Vicar Keri Jackson, a 2015 graduate, is one such example. As a senior, Keri planned to pursue a career in astrophysics. But a chapel message inviting students to consider ministry sparked a new direction. He enrolled at Martin Luther College, and while the journey included setbacks—including a season of stepping away from school and wrestling with his faith—he ultimately returned with renewed clarity and conviction.

Today, Keri is completing his pastoral studies at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, serving as a vicar at Fairview Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and sharing the Gospel with children across the city. In 2026, he returned to Wisconsin Lutheran to share his story with students, encouraging them to consider where God might be calling them.

Together, WLHS and Siebert are helping shape not only strong students, but faithful leaders for the future.

Vicar Keri Jackson shares his journey through the JUMP program—a two-year seminary training program in Milwaukee (operating through Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary) that prepares African American men for pastoral leadership in urban ministry contexts. Through moments of challenge, growth, and renewed calling, Keri reflects on how God has shaped his path and deepened his commitment to serving others. His story offers a powerful glimpse into how JUMP is equipping leaders to share the Gospel in communities where it is needed most.
