Church leadership transitions bring both challenges and opportunities as congregations navigate pastoral vacancies, shifting dynamics, and the tension between continuity and change. This interactive workshop will explore:

• The impact of transition on mission, congregational life, and governance,

• Models of pastoral leadership during times of change, and

• Practical resources and intentional care strategies to help congregations plan for the future while honoring their past.

The workshop will be led by Pastor John Czarnota, faculty member of LuTMA (Lutheran Transitional Ministry Association), an organization dedicated to preparing and supporting church leaders as they guide Lutheran ministries through major transitions or recovery. For more than 25 years, LuTMA has equipped pastors to lead congregations toward healthy, effective future ministry.
