Intro to Social Enterprise Workshop

have partnered to co-host an

INTRODUCTION TO SOCIAL ENTERPRISE WORKSHOP

This workshop will frame Social Enterprise in the not-for-profit world and provide insights for generating earned income for your mission. The workshop will cover:

  • What Social Enterprise Is and Is Not
  • Types of Social Enterprise
  • Factors Necessary for a Successful Social Enterprise
  • Strategies for Earning Income and How It Differs from Other Funding Models
  • Social Enterprise Expectations and Consequences  

This fast-paced, half-day working session will explore definitions of social enterprise, focusing on program-related earned income for not-for-profit organizations. With an eye toward “entrepreneurship,” participants will focus on their organizational assets and how those might increase revenue and meet their mission. The group will discuss organizational culture changes that are necessary for success.  Attendees will leave with articles, personal worksheets and a resource list to support the understanding and analysis of possible strategies they may want to continue to explore.

Who should attend?

  • Executive directors and program managers considering new or expanded earned-income strategies 
  • Current or previous social entrepreneurs looking for a broader perspective
  • Lead pastors or church council chairs

Who should NOT attend?
Development Directors or advancement staff
