Mrs. Amy Jacobsen

Biography

Associate Regional Ministry Director for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship

Mrs. Amy Jacobsen has been involved with the ministry of InterVarsity since her freshmen year of college in 1996. A warm welcome to campus from Carroll University InterVarsity student leaders began her four-year journey of faith formation and leadership development. These experiences led Mrs. Jacobsen on a vocational detour from pursuing a Master's degree in Physical Therapy to a full time career in ministry. After a brief two-year stint in youth ministry, she found herself back on campus at her alma mater as an InterVarsity missionary to college students.

Over the past 15 years, Mrs. Jacobsen has joyfully served on InterVarsity staff in a variety of roles: 2002-2007 Campus Staff Member Carroll University, 2008-2016 Area Director SE Wisconsin, and 2017-present Associate Regional Ministry Director, Lakes and Plains Region.

In her current role, Mrs. Jacobsen serves on the Senior Leadership Team for the Lakes and Plains Region of InterVarsity in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Her team is actively ministering to 3,000 college students through weekly small groups and large group worship experiences; discipling college students to be passionate followers of Jesus and effective leaders of His mission on campus and beyond.

In 2013, Mrs. Jacobsen earned her Masters of Arts in Christian Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL. She also enjoys serving in a volunteer capacity at her church, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Pewaukee, WI, training and coaching small group leaders.
