Brenda’s experience spans 30+ years of professional resource development, campaign fundraising, asset stewardship and philanthropic consulting work, all within the Lutheran faith context. Current and former clients and affiliations include Augsburg College, Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camps, Lutheran World Relief, the North American Lutheran Seminary, Lutheran Planned Giving Minneapolis and St. Paul, Gustavus Adolphus College, Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, Concordia College Moorhead, and in a national role at the LCA/ELCA assisting more than 75 congregations and synods. Brenda serves on the boards of Green Lake Lutheran Ministries and the Center for Worship and Music Studies; is a past president of the Association of Lutheran Development Executives (ALDE); and is a recipient of ALDE’s Virgil Anderson Award for lifetime achievement and service. She is credentialed as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Her undergraduate degree is from Concordia Moorhead, and she earned a Master’s from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School in Public and Nonprofit Management. Brenda is married to Scott Moore, a professional trombonist and chair of the Department of Music at Gustavus Adolphus College. Together, they are the grateful parents of Christina (11) and Lillian (9). They are members of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church and are actively engaged in the life of its West Campus in Victoria, MN.
